The race is not to the swift

Ecclesiastes 9:11 (MSG) “I took another walk around the neighborhood and realized that on this earth as it is— The race is not always to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor satisfaction to the wise, Nor riches to the smart, Nor grace to the learned. Sooner or later bad luck hits us all.” Many a time, we look with envy to people who have seemingly made it in life. I have good news for you who looks at yourself with scorn as a worthless person who can never amount to anything. The above scripture tells us that the race is never won by the fastest people. You might be as slow as a tortoise but surely the Ark won’t leave without you. You are that important to be waited for. Our measure is never in our own abilities, it’s God that describes your destiny and not your wisdom or skills. Psalm 33:18 tells us that the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, those whose hope is in His unfailing love. It doesn’t matter when you will graduate because the job preserved for you will give you many returns than someone that has worked for twenty years. All your friends may get married in your eyes, but when your time comes, the whole world will know. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are now, God will make you dine with kings not because you deserve it but because He loves you so much. Just keep trusting in His unfailing love.
