1 Peter 5:8 (ERV) “Control yourselves and be careful! The devil is your enemy, and he goes around like a roaring lion looking for someone to attack and eat.” Time and time again, the Bible has always defined our enemy-The devil. His tricks and traits have been well enlisted. Here, Peter tells us that he is like a roaring lion looking for meat to eat. But this lion is toothless. Jesus plucked out all his teeth when He died on the cross for you and me. Jesus is like poison to the devil. Even just at the smell of Jesus, the devil gets a headache. So we better take advantage of this Jesus. In Ephesians 4:24, Paul encourages us to put on Christ. Let’s heed to Paul’s advice if we are to become toxic and allergic to the devil. Let the word of God become our daily delicacy yet Poisonous to the enemy. We suffer many things in this world because of ignorance of the word of God. So the devil takes advantage of this. That’s why you see many divisions largely because many people don’t understand what is in the scriptures. So brothers and sisters. You might seem to be in challenges every now and then, but remember your challenger is toothless. His bites will never harm you however hard he tries.
Blessed Sunday
