Romans 15:4 (AMP) “For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.” There’s no blessed generation that has ever existed like this one we are in today. We have all the material that people in the Old age didn’t have with them. Am sure when those people look at us today, they laugh at our foolishness for not taking advantage of our generation’s abundance of knowledge in the things of God. In the olden times, people had to rely on prophets and priests to hear the word of God as the actual biblical scripts were not owned by everyone. The scriptures prophesied in Daniel 12:4 that in the last days, knowledge shall increase. We have more knowledge today, than Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and all the patriarchs had. At a click of a button, you can find out what Jesus said, what Paul wrote and what many other prophets wrote concerning us. But it looks like our generation is the most hopeless and lazy. We don’t want to read scriptures ourselves yet it is everywhere. That’s why Jesus warns us in Luke 11:31 that the Queen of the south shall judge this generation for not taking advantage of the present existence of truth and knowledge, for she moved all the way from her kingdom to just hear the wisdom of Solomon. Let’s learn to take advantage of the abundance of knowledge in our generation. God bless your day.
