John 1:17 (ERV) “That is, the law was given to us through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” There are many believers who don’t understand the difference between the law of Moses and the grace of Jesus Christ and it’s unfortunate that many Christians are still living under the law that was given by Moses. In its own self, the law is not the problem but living under it will never make you right before God because no one can practice the law 100%. Galatians 3:10, “Scripture backs this up: “Utterly cursed is every person who fails to carry out every detail written in the Book of the law.” So then, shall we say that the law is no longer relevant or important? Not at all! Galatians 3:19 says that the purpose of the law was to keep a sinful people in the way of salvation until Christ came. Does that mean that you don’t practice the law when you are Christian? Yes absolutely! Because the law means, doing things for God which is practically impossible to fulfil because of man’s rebellious nature but grace means entering into what God does for you. The person who lives in right relationship with God does it by embracing what God arranges for him. Habakkuk (2:4) had it right: “The person who believes God, is set right by God—and that’s the real life.” My prayer is that we learn to believe and submit to what God has done for us through Jesus Christ. *Further* *study* Galatians 3:1-29
