We live by faith

2 Corinthians 5:7 (GNT) “For our life is a matter of faith, not of sight.” In this life, people’s opinion and perception is influenced by what they see and smell around them, and that defines a normal human being. But you and I ceased from being normal human beings when we put on Christ. It is no longer us who live but Christ in us. Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that in Christ we are a new creation. The old is past and the new has come. Many people think that when they become Christians or even born again in particular, trouble ends. That’s not true! Troubles and challenges only end when we get to understand that it’s not in our own capacity to fight them but Christ in us: That is faith. This faith is personal and cannot be influenced by majority of people but only by the word of God. The perfect example is found in Numbers 13 and 14, which speaks of 12 spies who were sent out by Moses to spy the promised land. 10 of the 12 spies gave a bad report that caused the children of Israel to grumble against God and only 2 of them (Caleb and Joshua) gave a faith report which pleased God. Faith is all about you seeing God conquering that seemingly hard situation that comes your way. When you do, God has no choice but to let you win over any hard circumstance because we only please Him by faith. Brothers and sisters let faith become our 2018 currency. Remember it comes by hearing the word of God. It’s only important that we invest in this currency by reading the word daily. What you love, you do and cherish. Everyone in the world has time but it is allocated to what is cherished. God bless your 2018
