The greatest is love

Daily Bread Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." Without love, our faith and hope is rendered incomplete. Imagine if God had hoped to save us minus sending Jesus. Would we call this love? Definitely no-But because God loved us, He was able to send Jesus in order to bring us close to Himself (John 3:16). 1 John 4:8 says that whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. When we become born again, we close ourselves in God and God lives in us. Because God lives in us, we are able to love the way He does:-that defines our knowledge of God. We cannot have faith and hope to see beggars off the streets unless we get involved in ministering to them ourselves by either giving in our time or even finances. We cannot hope and have faith in seeing our college friends receive Christ unless we speak to them about Christ. That defines love and the true love Jesus came for and represented. Paul called that faith without works. Friends let's examine ourselves and see if we are in line with the Love of God that lives in us. Blessings
